Using eCommerce and targeting mobile traffic - A quick tip

Whenever working online we always think of how we can optimize our traffic in order to increase sales. You may not think of it, but if you're moving your website around and tweaking things to make it more user friendly, you're optimizing for sales. This can actually be a difficult thing to do if it's your first go around, but don't worry because it's not too difficult. I'm here to give you a little trick in order to increase the likeliness to increase your sales from mobile traffic. It's actually a pretty simple thing to do and not many people think about it, or they have and just don't want to do it.

So here's the simple little trick

Stop having people register and login to make a purchase!
By having someone register and then login to make purchase something you're just making it more difficult for them to get what they want. It's more difficult because they have to do multiple actions in order to finally get to the payment page and purchase from you. Now I'm sure a lot of you are saying "Well this will just increase the chances of fraudulent purchases!" but that's not true. If the buyer has plans to use a stolen credit card do you really think they care if you know one of their churn and burn emails linked to a fake name?

By letting your traffic, at least your mobile traffic, going right to the payment page without logging in you will remove some steps and they will be more likely to purchase. Some people only have their users register so that they can collect the buyers Name, Email, address, blood type, hair color, eye color, etc. but you can do that all on the payment page lol

It's not exactly an easy thing to do if you don't know how to program, like myself, but you can hire a cheap programmer here on SEOclerks.com to have all the information submitted on the payment page to also be sent to your mailchimp account. I've done this plenty of times and it works extremely well. The user will get a notification from mailchimp letting them know they need to opt into my newsletters and 9 times out of 10 they will because they usually think that's how I'll contact them if something is wrong with their order lol.

Add a captcha
You can easily add a captcha in order to remove a lot of bots from filling out your forms. If you are going to use the no registration trick for you mobile traffic then I would highly recommend the captcha to push off bots and scripts that will just blow up your email with false purchases. Treat it like a contact us page, add your captcha and you'll be glad you did.

Should I do this for desktop traffic?
I would say go for it because no one likes registering on a website and getting random "newsletters" every day. I've been turned off from a website that requires me to register to purchase a $1 item or simply read an article lol.

This is mainly for mobile traffic, but you can try it with desktop/laptop traffic and see how it works. People on their phones are usually just killing time between things they have to do in real life, so make it easy for them. Think of your mobile traffic as if they were people standing in line at the grocery store. They'll stand there and see a piece of candy that they don't need but will buy it anyway because it's in front of them. They are on your pages thinking the same thing, so make sure they see the products and make it easy for them to purchase. It's a spur of the moment type of thing and they will make a split decision right then and there, but if they have to login they will likely leave the page.

In Conclusion:
If you're worried about an increase in fraudulent purchases then you shouldn't be in this business lol. You're going to run into fraud purchases regardless if you make them register or not. People who want something without paying for it will get it if they're determined. You'll have all their information at check out, even their address, so you can report them to the authorities if you'd like.

I accept with this point 100%.In some sites,even to access the full site,you should sign up which is a real waste of time.It surely do lower your sales or activity in your site.

We regularly purchase from the online store called Lazada. I think it is the biggest local online store that sells household items, clothing, and other personal items. There is a form to fill up when you check out. Of course, they need your name and address plus contact number aside from the email address. But there’s no need to register or create an account with them. What’s best is their trust in you, they accept COD – that means there is no guarantee that your purchase is real but they still proceed. We appreciate that trust of the store on us so it is worth to buy there.
