    Post comments that is unrelated to your content can hurt

    If your website or blog getting comments which are no way related to the content of the post, then it's not good.
    You should remove those comments for the seo safety of your website or blog. If you won't remove those unrelated comments, it will also hurt on readability. Real visitor will find it annoying. But comment related to your content will bring full of positive responses.

    What annoys me is when people run bots and it just so happens that your URL is part of a bot program. This could be thousands of comments, and the bot doesn't seem to care if your blog comments are moderated. If they are moderated you have the trouble of going through hundreds to thousands of comments and actually finding real comments with substance that is related to the blog post. I wish the search engines would not increase ranking by blog comments. Sometimes the search engines don't due to nofollow attributes however there are some blogs that don't use this and are spammed way too much. Too many backlinks on one page, including a blog post comment section will most likely result in negative SEO. Negative SEO will do more harm than good, so be very aware if you purchase backlinking services for blog comments.

    Yeah I'm just glad when someone posts a real comment to my blog that is about the blog post itself instead of all those canned comments you get about how their uncle told them about your site and they're bookmarking your feed or how they had a problem in some other browser viewing your site. I can't remember how many times I've seen that sort of comment flagged by my akismet now but it's a lot lol. Sometimes though, just sometimes, one will come through that doesn't sound as canned and is actually somewhat useful or thoughtful or seems to be manually placed and asks or says something about something the actual blog post itself is about and I sometimes approve these on old blog posts that don't have any or many new comments on them. And I think, (hope) everyone or some other people at least do that right? Or is it just me? lol Post comments that is unrelated to your content can hurt

    You are right. Do follow based comment which are hyperlink and which are not blog content related there have a trouble. It can decrease the page rank and also can make down website below. So it should be delete which are not compatible with blog post.

    Now a days google pagerank doesn't matter. However seo ranking will go down for sure which will lead to traffic loss.

    Hi to All,

    If you have Website or Blog, on which your getting comments which are not related to your Post, there is not issue.
    But if language is differ then make sure all these kind of comments hidden from website or blog. or mark them Spam.

    Several Software are there in market through search niche related open comment sections regularly getting N number comments.
    So best Option is make all comment approve first from Admin then visible on Website or Blog.

    I guess you are referring to spams that are posted in the guise of a comment. I have seen such posts where the first sentence refers to the discussion but he subsequent lines are all about his website or business. And even if there is no link indicated, the company name is there for you to search. With nonsensical comments particularly those users with poor English proficiency, I am not annoyed as long as the comment is all about the discussion. That’s much better instead of spam posts.
