A List of The Best Traffic Sources in 2017. - Do You Agree?

Best Traffic Source in 2017..

Hey guys,
I just came across a list of traffic sources a fellow freelancer will start to focus on during 2017. From my understanding, he tried a handful of different sources during 2016, and he'll continue to focus on some of the sources from 2016 in 2017 too. These sources are included in the below list, although I don't know which sources he used in 2016.

What do you think about the list? - Would you change something?

Do you think you'll be able to get traffic in "new ways" in 2017, or would it be just like this year?

I was just wondering if Quora and Reddit featured anywhere in this list?

I've just started Facebook video instead of just sharing my Youtube videos on Facebook and it has had a tremendously good effect on my traffic and conversions. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised so I am going to be making much more use of those in 2017!

I am going to be putting most of my focus on Blogging (creating content), Youtube and Facebook Video in 2017. I am finding those the most useful for me. Yes I suppose I could make use of paid advertising for social media and online search but I get a kick out of doing things for free.

These are still the same old methods of traffic that we see everyday on websites, tutorials sites, blogs etc. but i know that there will be surely some unique ways of getting traffic visitors which some persons must have researched and researched until he came about some tricks of getting good traffic. what we need to see now is some unique different means crazy weird means of getting traffic visitors as those listed above has been over-used by virtually every SEO personnel.

Hey you didn't mention Google+. I know Google+ gets slated a lot. But it's a great source for traffic. If you hit up the right communities on Google+ you can gleam a lot of traffic from them if done consistently all the time. But I'm glad to see you mentioned Pinterest too!

Actually, it's not that easy to get traffic from Pinterest straight away. It's one of those things where it only really pays off if you're using it every day consistently for a few months and also, if you can get access to exclusive boards which have a lot of followers in them, Pins pinned to a community boards naturally get a lot more repins/likes and views than pins that are pinned to your own boards. Even if they already have a lot of followers in them,

But the other methods are about standard and what most people use. I'm with Chetaseo, we need to see some new methods of traffic generation as those methods do work to get traffic with, but they are very over used and we need something new these days too.

Yes I am now getting some nice traffic from Google Plus, not loads of it because honestly I don't put much effort into Google Plus but I am getting a surprising amount from the few posts I share there.

Oh nice! That's it with Google+. A lot of people slate it. But they are either not using enough and in the right way, or are using it too much too quickly and getting booted from the groups! lol I find if you post the right things to the right places, and don't post too much (once, twice a day maybe). And you spend time on those communities +1'ng and commenting on other peoples stuff. Eventually, this can really start to pay off. People of those communities will recognize your post and +1 it and comment on it and that purely because they see you doing it on their stuff. I make it sound a lot harder work than it is but then, nothing worth having is ever easy to come by is it!? ;)

No I agree with you that the best way to make use of a social network is to be active on it and to engage with other people. I just haven't had the time really to spend getting going with Google Plus but I can see it will be awesome if I do... I take it you offer some Google Plus promotions too or make use of them with your services?

Oh yes several of my YouTube promotion services make use of Google+ Communities. There are quite a few YouTube / Video related communities that have a lot of members in them and it creates backlinks / signals to the video from Google so worth doing. But I don't have any actual Google+ Community posting services. I have thought about that in the past and offering just that where I could post x amount of posts in one go, or spread out over the week or something. Would you go for something like that if it was reasonably priced and saved you time not having to do it yourself Lynne? Is that a rhetorical question? lol

Yeah I would go for that Mike.

The social networks that I manage to spend time on are Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Google Plus, Pinterest and LinkedIn I throw some content out there but I don't actually log on and interact with anyone really. I wish I had more time in my day so I could get to it, but I just don't!

Facebook video marketing and their PPC ad campaigns are my favorites, and for my blogs and websites, it's effective. Other than that PPC ad campaigns are great too, like Bing Ads and Google AdWords. Both of them is outstanding with you know how to use SEO in a better way. I'm not a fan of Twitter PPC, and I don't know if it's going to work for my niche or not.

I think the list is all right and logical. Facebook is indeed the best source of traffic that I think will stay that way for at least as long as the landscape of the social media is not changed drastically. With Youtube, it is also the best in its field of videos although with its recent policy of stopping the monetization of small time video makers, it may affect the popularity of Youtube. But the effect is not that quick and drastic unless there is an alternative to be offered by another video depository website.
