Your website rank is affected by how many social signals you get from twitter and other social media sites. Social signals are very important for SEO

Any social media network is good for SEO campaign. I am not well versed with Twitter but I’m sure you can issue a tweet for your followers to read. And if the tweet about your website is interesting to them then they will click on the link that you had embedded in the tweet. That tweet has the backlink and it is already beneficial to the SEO capability of your website. And if you are industrious then you can use your Twitter account for a regular marketing post in promoting your website.
