People love to read the content based on things they are searching for or are interested in. But they also love to read content that is informative to them and useful to them in some way. There's a lot of fluff out there and a lot of rehashed content. But the best content is original content that teaches people something new that they hadn't heard of before. That makes for great content and is also the type of content that people like to share. How many times have you come across a great article and not wanted to share it? It's not many since you read it thinking, wow this is amazing, I need to share this with people!

Yes, people love any real life experiences. As Andre has said, any real life experiences, the nitty gritty of your life. Those shocking stories that make people gasp in awe and go, did he really do that!? That and yes, articles that promote products or services make for good content sometimes if that product/service is something they are looking into and interested in buying.
But that's just obvious. But what makes you ask this question if you don't mind me asking? :)
