Google Partners - I passed all Google Adwords exams

As most of you here know very well Google has a partners program when it comes to Adwords and Analytics. It partners with agencies selling AdWords and Analytics services.

As it happens my agency is a Google partner so I can basically become an individual Google partner myself.

There are 6 AdWords exams in total and you need to pass at least 2 to become a partner.

AdWords Fundamentals - The one is mandatory and you need to pass it before you attempt other certifications.
Search Advertising
Display Advertising
Video Advertising
Shopping Advertising
Mobile Advertising

I passed all of them! The cool thing about these exams are the exam study guides, you can learn a lot about Google by learning those!

Fun fact: Because I recently passed my Mobile Advertising Exam, Google is going to send me Google Cardboard: https://vr.google.com/cardboard/ - I'm looking forward using it next week!

I had no idea that this was even possible. This sounds like a positive accomplishment but what does it mean for you? Are you a employee of Google now? How hard is it to take these exams? I had no idea that you needed to pass a special exam to use ad words and ad sense, or does this mean your just a reseller? Seems like you are coming up in the world and that is awesome! Cheers to your success and may you have many more. I look forward to your explanation so that i can forward this to my friends who are interested in this kind of thing. Thank you for sharing this is an awesome new and exciting topic for me.

I'm a Google Partner and have been for 1 year now. It basically allows me to get clients and prove I'm certified to run their adwords campaigns for them in a professional way. Thank you by the way!

I am so happy for you.

I could have sent you some cardboard VR goggles

I was given three of them by Spur Steak Ranches when I did a promotion for them.... they are quite a lot of fun. My kids loved them, which was good because the main part of that job was to show my kids playing with the Spur VR Goggles LOL.

I've tried some cardboard VR goggles from China a few months ago, loads of fun! I hope the Google ones are of a higher quality! And thank you very much Lynne!

This is pretty great Cristian. Well done and congrats! It's great to know we've got someone on board here that is an Adwords expert. For all those people that come on here and need some help, advice and tips on running a successful Adwords campaign or two. I've looked into doing this myself, but the part I got stuck on was choosing a Google partner. How did you go about knowing who the best one to choose for you was? What criteria did you set to know which Google partner to choose from from the list they show you?

Anyway, good on you! I don't use Adwords myself anymore. I used to use it a fair bit back in 2012, and I saw some little success from the campaigns I had running. I wish I'd have kept going and kept using it and increased my knowledge of it but I flipped the site I was using it on in the end and haven't since.

What I learned though is that it's an art to get right. It's all about research, research and more research! Of striking the right balance of how much you spend and how much that spending earns you back. If you hit it right and earn back more than you spend, then you're onto a winner and then you just duplicate, duplicate and duplicate some more. Repeating it over and over again and using your earnings to fund more campaigns which gets you more earnings which you can put back into the campaigns and so on and so on.

Is that fair to say?

Well, Mike. I didn't choose any Google Partner! I am the Google Partner! Because the agency I currently work for is affiliated with Google as a partner agency all the employers can become Adwords and Analytics certified.

You can create a Google partner account on your personal email but I'm not sure you'll become a partner since you need to be affiliated with an agency that already is a Google partner.
In the past all of these exams were paid out of the student's pocket, now things are easier especially if you work at an agency,

Let me congratulate you for the achievement as a Google Partner. Now may I ask this question – what is a Google Partner and what benefit do you get from being such? I am amused that there is an exam like this before you can become a Google Partner which means there is something to it because not anyone can be a Google Partner. Perhaps it can give you the benefit when it comes to ads?
