Bugs / Errors on the Community Discussion

Hi,

I noticed that some emoticons are not working, either if you put yourself or select the face (I noticed this on the wink on the end of the comment and the angry emoticon inside the comment).
Another problem is the fact that I am unable to reply to the last comment on my discussion (replied to all other comments, the only issue was the emoticon bug I think), either using Chrome or Firefox...

Anybody experiencing this?

I've noticed that the wink emoticon isn't displaying right. I use to wink a lot, but not as much anymore on SeoClerks because it doesn't show up right lol

One curiosity: I've noticed that you are level X3 without buyer or seller feedback. Are you an affiliate or simply the feedback is very old and not showing up because of that?

You are not the only one mate ;). There was a time when I was really abusing them but now I try to keep things under control and I am slowly forgetting about them.

They are nice but a post with 100 emoticons inside doesn't look that professional anymore. I'm pretty sure that is a known problem and the guys are trying to fix it already.

Yeah some of them were removed a while back as they wasn't working so they were just removed. I wouldn't exactly say it was a bug/error though. But Jordan and the team already know about it. Hence them removing it because it was causing a problem sometimes. I posted about the emoticons a little while back here: Should we have new Emoticons on the Community Discussion?

It would be really nice to have a new set of modern looking emoticons. But they aren't exactly high priority on the "To do" list as there are far more important things, to do, that they need to get round doing or improving or new features that they're looking into adding to the site and marketplace here to add more functionality and features to the site that are helpful for both buyers and sellers alike.

But if enough people chime in on that thread in the Suggestions & Feedback category then it's something they can definitely look a little closer into. I personally couldn't care less really whether we have them or not. I'm more of a, it's the words on the page that matter to me type of person rather than whether I can end what I'm saying with the right type of emoticon or not. That said, they are useful sometimes for conveying your emotions, thoughts and feelings about something in an emotional way. Hence them being called emoticons but yeah!

I don't really use any emoticons anywhere, not even on Facebook, so I haven't noticed the bugs. Let's do a wink: ;) - Seems to work, at least in the reply box as I'm writing this message.

Also, the reason for not being able to reply properly to your previous topic may be that moderators made it as "answered". In other words, if a question was answered and the problem was fixed a topic may be closed to prevent future useless posts from being written.

I did not notice these bugs you mentioned. I managed to reply to comments without any problem over the past few days. Regarding emoticons, I am not one who uses emoticons much though, so I would not have noticed if they are working or not. Let me try it out :*)

Yes you were right they are not appearing after you choose from the ones available in the menu

You can insert them yourself though, that is by typing them from your keyboard. As seen above it worked for me that way
