Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
Today i woke up wondering what the difference between programming and web developing was. I thought that they where the same thing are they not? the one thing i do know is that in both of these professions you have to write a Billion lines of code. If that is the case are they really different? I hope that someone here can explain this to me a little better and hopefully point me in the rite direction. I would like to learn the basics of both fields as i know it will help me in the future landing jobs or closing deals that involve code. I don't know if this is relevant or not but i am also hearing about computer scientist? I appreciate any and all feedback you guys can give on this topic! As always thank you for reading!

If you're going to start to develop websites, I would strongly suggest using PHP, HTML/CSS and Javascript as a basic foundation to start with. These languages are very easy to learn and don't require a lot of time. Try using GitHub to gain knowledge of how code works and is written. I started out by trial and error. I actually Google'd errors I had and find solutions to them which in return helped me to actually understand how code works. Well from my understanding web development could mean different things. For instance, if you develop websites but don't code with a programming language such as PHP you could be considered as web developer.
