    4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    First off I want to go over the typical photo where people are in business suites, smiling and shaking hands. These images look tacky even on big banking type websites so what makes you think you can pull it off? lol 4 tips on how to select the right team photos These images usually have a blue tone to them and always have someone smiling and standing in a forced pose, which is pretty obvious.

    Anyway, here we go 4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    • Use some color in your photos - Like I said above, a lot of these images have a blue tone to them which is the standard "corporate" color. I guess it has to do something with blue collar workers, but I could be completely wrong.
    • No forced smiles - Having a genuine smile in a photo is a killer sales generator. You can really tell when someone is posing for a photo vs when they are caught in a picture with genuine happiness on their face. Your employees may think it's a bit creepy that you're always taking pictures of them laughing, but they'll understand when you're done lol.
    • Be different - Don't use the typical pose or setup where you have people sitting at a table or have everyone grouped up like it's a grade school group picture lol. Have an office party and take pictures of people in their natural emotions. Anything that is set up will come out as pretty basic.
    • Show diversity - When I say to show diversity I'm not just talking about skin color. Add people of all ages so it's a natural picture. Not everyone is in their 20s and taking group pictures. Be sure to add everyone of all ages, shapes, and color 4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    These are just some basic ideas on how you can make your business images more genuine and not forced. In todays market, unless you're a bank, you need to be more open with your customers and this is one way of letting them know exactly who you are. Showing them that you have emotions and get along will go a long way when someone decides to sign up. I know that I want to sign up with a team of people who get along and do great things over a team of people who are all about the money, and that can be conveyed in an image. 4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    Thanks Raz! That's some pretty awesome good sounding sensible advice! It's something that many businesses may end up needing to know at some point if they want to actually put faces to their business and the different parts of it. Such as the CEO, Customer Service, the IT guy and Social Media marketer etc etc. This is great for me though as well because I'm working on an eBook at the minute and it's kind of a joint collaboration between myself and several of my colleagues and we wanted to show that we'd all worked on the eBook together and it had been created by pooling all our knowledge, information and skills together to create this ranking guide method. I'm thinking about just keeping it simple and showing 4 mug shots at the bottom with links to some of our social media profiles and here perhaps for me. 4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    One thing I'd like to add on forced smiles. A life hack. It's good to smile in photos. But to make your smile seem much more genuine squint your eyes at the same time. It will make the smile seem much more genuine as that is what you really do when you smile for real. 4 tips on how to select the right team photos

    Thanks Razz! Awesome, and very important tips. 4 tips on how to select the right team photos I don't have my own team, but creating a team is something that I was thinking about, and I think this it's going to happen if things goes well.

    I like very much original team photos, those photos which are not heavily photoshoped, also I like when they show themselfes in photo as they are in real life.

    Oh I know exactly what you mean! I love looking at the team members on a website, I like to know who I am dealing with or talking to.

    It has happened so many times that I have gone and had a look and been totally put of by the team photos and this is just in the blink of an eye.

    I think team photos should look natural and not posed. I don't know why all those posed photos are so unappealing to me!

    Well, as far as diversity goes, all my colleagues in my team are in their mid-20s, so yeah, no that much age diversity there. But I agree on the other points you made, most of the "corporate" team photos are the same everywhere I look. Very few companies actually make a difference and go in another direction.

    I would hire a photograph to catch day to day activities between the team members, real work related interaction pictures can say a lot more than 1000 words article, no just joke and smiling, I'm referring to actual work related stuff, like a debate or even a meeting photo of the team.

    I agree with the color of the photo that it should have a natural look. But some photographers or photo designers are being exaggerated in using black and white photos with the reason that it looks classic. Worse, some others use the sepia color which makes the photo look not really classic but old. My take on corporate team photos is a natural shot with a natural camera. Formal photos are hard to compose but with being natural, you cannot go wrong.
