    i want to sell twitter account but there somethings necessary to change is twitter allow to change it and sell it anyone tried to sell his/her twitter account

    I don't think that selling social account it's legal, at least all social media networks that I've seen, it's clearly stated that selling/buying social account it's against their rules, it is also against the law depends on your country. However, I've seen a lot of people selling their accounts on facebook, not directly on facebook but yeah via some different sites. We've talked about this topic a few days ago here on CD, and for me selling and buying social media account it's not worth the risk, as you are responsible for everything what they will do via your account.

    Yes I asked the question about creating and selling social media accounts a few days ago. I am sure I could make a good go of it with a twitter account but like you said there are some risks that I never considered like the fact that my IP created that address so there may be consequences for me down the line if something goes bad with that account!

    Technically no. You are not allowed to sell Twitter accounts. However, when you sell a website, you sell all the properties that go and come with that website. That includes things like the Facebook page for it and the Twitter account etc. You hand all these over with the logins for them along with your website logins etc as part of the deal. Twitter knows this that people sell their websites and must hand over all the logins to the social media accounts, profiles etc that come with them. They know this and this is fine because it's for a reason.

    However you cannot sell a Twitter account or username simply for the purpose of trying to sell it to make money. There is no actual legal law for it. Only what Twitter says in its own terms and conditions. But this is not legally forceable. Although they have sent many legal notices to people that do do it. But when it comes to that, Twitter's only terms state that "You may not buy or sell Twitter usernames."

    What they actually say about it in their terms of service is;

    • You cannot engage in any form of username squatting. Any time you register an account and it appears as though you registered it just to have it before some influential figure or entity might want it, that’s squatting. It’s a form of mild extortion. You’re saying “I own this, but you can have it, you know… for a price.” That’s against the Twitter terms of service.
    • Twitter determines whether or not you are squatting a username based on some historical factors, including how many accounts you have created, what you are doing with those accounts, and any past history of transferring ownership of accounts.


    But if you're selling it along with your website then that is fine to do provided you can prove that if you ever needed to. But selling a Twitter account on its own just for to make a profit is not allowed and would be facilitating the black market for buying/selling them.

    It is against twitter terms and conditions if you sell your account. or even officially its against terms to buy followers as well (but thats harder to track)

    if twitter find out yoyu are selling the account (unless you are passing it on with a business selling) then they can ban you from the website or take futher action against you.

    I don't recommend this. I know a friend of a friend who went to jail for few months for making twitter accounts, buying followers then selling for a profit.

    Before you sell/buy anything on the internet, always try to read more about the terms and conditions guiding what you're doing. I mean it is one thing to sell, but if you violate their terms and conditions, it might get that account banned.

    yes you can, Use escrow.com - the buyer deposits the money there, and you get it released after the transfer is complete.

    I find the idea of selling account a risk. You might be able to change name and the rest of the details for money. However, I'm not quite sure if it will protect you from any possible fraud just in case your account will be used for crime-related activity. Might boils down to checking your account history and have you implicated, in case things go bad.

    Well i think selling twitter accounts could be profitable but it is a ton of work and if you calculate the amount of time you have to spend building it the price of the account should be high. I think a few things you would have to change would be #1 the recovery email because if you sell it to someone you could very easily take the money and lock them out. All personal information that is linked to or on this account will need to be removed for your personal security reasons. other than that i think its a great idea if you can do it with minimal work.

    I don't see why you won't be able to sell the twitter account. If you go to the social network category there are a lot of services that include the selling of twitter accounts. The marketplace's Terms of Service basically states that you must follow other website's terms of service, however there is a social point category which you can buy/sell accounts however often at times this will breach the sites Terms of service but nothing is ever done.

    Here's what twitter says:
    creating accounts for the purpose of selling those accounts; and
    Selling usernames: You may not buy or sell Twitter usernames.

    Twitter will not sell your account. No matter if you change settings, information or anything like that. You can sell your account yourself, in case you find a buyer who's interested. That being said, it's against Twitter TOS. Just like it is on most other social media platforms when it comes to these kind of things. - However, I've seen multiple people selling their accounts and this has been going on ever since Twitter started more or less, so it could obviously be a nice chunk of income if you find the right buyers.
