    Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016

    Content is King, yes we've all heard that haven't we? But really what are search engines really looking for when they want to show the search results?

    They want to match up the best possible fit of content to the search right? This means they want to give the searcher the best quality content possible for what they are searching for.

    What are all the Google updates trying to do? It is simple, they are trying to close all those loopholes that online marketers use to try and rank their content... people that are not creating quality content but trying to rank for those search terms anyway.

    Yes besides quality content there are loads of other ranking factors that also come into the picture so I am not sure that just creating quality content without implementing any other online marketing techniques will work to rank well... but it does point out the fact that the focus should be first and foremost on creating quality content.

    I was just reading a great article about online marketing trends published in February this year that shows the results of a survey where they received 1500 responses and it clearly shows that content marketing is taking the lead.

    Just publishing great content won't get you to the top, it's sad but true Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016

    So many times have I pushed tons of content to my websites just to see if they would naturally rank after getting the pages indexed, and they don't. That's because there has been no off page optimization for the page or website at all. People always say that content is king, but they forget the SEO journey they took on the way to the top lol.

    Content is definitely great to have on all websites, if it's done right Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016 I could put 1,000,000 articles on my pages by tomorrow but that doesn't mean I'll be ranking and banking anytime soon lol. The content has to be unique and high quality, if not, you won't be happy at all.

    I do think that content is one of the main things that rank websites, after they build authority, is mainly the content on the pages. The website gains authority, posts a new article and gets pushed to the top solely based on the popularity and authority of the website itself and not the off page optimization done to the page, if any.

    I would love to have a website where I could just post some high quality content and it gets ranked for competitive keywords Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016 That's my main goal for 2 of my news websites. I want to be able to get the articles or posts get shared on various platforms thousands of times, but that will take a while to build since I only started about 3 months ago lol Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016

    I actually was talking to a friend who said he was going to be spending $10k on content for a new website of his. He found a great niche with little competition but it should provide a nice ROI in time. He likes to invest in his websites and make his money back over a couple years unlike myself who wants to make money back in the first few months lol Content Marketing is the leading online marketing trend for 2016

    Oh yes, I also want to start new websites and make my money back in a few months LOL!

    I agree with you Razzy that there are loads more things that go into it than just publishing loads of content. I think of online marketing as a big puzzle and there are loads of little pieces that go into it and make it work.

    It is important to not just focus on one little section of the puzzle and ignore the rest, this won't work at all.

    Content is a king and benefits will be there if you share it well and let people know that you have great content. Until people know you have great content , great content is of little use, posting samples to large blog sites where they are seen by more people would help in bringing more visitors to the site.

    That graph was very interesting, thanks for sharing. Content marketing is indeed critical for the success of any online marketing campaign. Unfortunately many seem to know the saying that content is king, but they fail to understand how powerful it really is. I find that many of my clients barely know how vital the use of keywords is for example. You can literally work wonders with good content, but there are still many who are stingy with their content marketing and prefer to opt for content that is spun or not original. I just cannot stand that!

    Oh yes I agree with you there EliteWriter. They seem to think lots of content is king but fail to realize that less content that is good quality would actually be much better.

    Pardon my ignorance but what really is content marketing? What I can say about content is the quality which matters most. I had seen in a writing workshop an example of a short article, one with substance and another with nothing to say at all. You can write 2 pages of content that can be considered trash and you can write 2 paragraphs that can be considered a treasure in terms of substance.

    This is one thing that I have always told some of my friends that it is all about the content and not simply because of the reason that your site is attractive to the visitor or not. Content is truly king and one I don't think of taking away from it.
