    Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    I remember one of the other members here talking about attending Google events, I think it was Cristian?

    Anyway I just wonder whether attending some really huge online marketing conferences would be a good way to bring in business for freelancers? Yes they might be expensive but remember you can take a trip and bill your business Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    You could learn a huge amount from attending these conferences and perhaps you could get some amazing business in from networking?

    I found this cool list of Worldwide Digital Conferences for 2016. I don't know about you but I would love to attend things like this!

    I've never gone to some of the huge marketing conferences where you have to pay $1,000+ per pass, but it would be pretty awesome to attend one Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business? Now I have gone to small meetups that were organized through popular online marketing forums, and those were really fun and I got to meet some pretty awesome people Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business? I haven't attended one of these in a long time, but I still talk to a few of the people I met through these meetups. A couple of the guys I met are actually pretty well known in the SEO and Online Marketing world. One of them makes close to 50k a month and you would never know it if he didn't tell you Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business? Another guy sells websites for his clients and makes over $5,000,000 a year doing so, and you'd never think he did Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    As for the marketing aspect for a freelancer. I definitely think you'd be able to get a few on going jobs just by attending these conferences and talking to people. You have to talk to people though, they won't just come up to you and give you a job lol Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    You can also go another route and buy some advertising space at the event in terms of a booth, putting up banners or getting your brochure in the giveaways bags to every member. I personally would go with the brochure marketing in the bags because people will take those home with them and possibly read them when they're online Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    Yes Razzy I agree with you, it would be incredible to go wouldn't it?

    I am a great networker. When I had an online baby store I would go to the massive yearly Baby Expo every day for the few days it was on and just go from stall to stall talking to everyone. I always enjoyed it.

    I believe that networking face to face at these places is most certainly the way to go. We forget how important personal relationships can be Do you think attending huge online marketing conferences will bring in business?

    Oh yes for sure it would. Partly the reason they hold them in the first place. But also because it's a huge money spinner for the places that hold those events. What with how pricey the tickets for it can be! But you are getting to meet with and talk to leading industry experts so the take away from them could be very valuable for you and more than pay for the price of the ticket if you know what I mean.

    You could bill it to your business though like you say. If it's part of your business dealings then it's tax deductible! But yes they could bring in business in so far as finding new people to network with and of course being able to learn something new about Internet Marketing.

    I like the look of the Brighton SEO one based on Search Marketing, that's only literally up the road from me. I can see it from my beach. It's only £100 for a friend ticket but goes up to £450 for a training ticket but obviously that has some more perks to it.

    I've missed that one though. The next closest one to me is the Social Media Week: London on Sep 12-16. Prices for that one start from £659 up to £2750. It's not really cheap by all means regardless to if it's tax deductible or not!

    Yeah it is nor cheap at all, especially when you take my weak South African exchange rate into account! It is really awesome to sit here and earn USD but if I had to venture out of my country to an event like that I might be heading into trouble with the bills LOL.

    I think it would be worth every cent though, imagine all you could learn!

    Attending huge online marketing conferences will provide you knowledge, information and ideas to improve business. However, conference will not directly help you bring in business. If you attend conferences, you will meet like mined people, and this gives you and opportunity to share knowledge and information.

    I have yet to attend an online marketing conference but if I have the time and given the proper notice then maybe I will. But, of course, the fee is also to be considered together with the distance of the venue. Attending such conferences can afford you to connect to the right people in the industry. As a freelancer, connection is important so maybe I can sacrifice something to be able to attend such conferences for the benefit of my online career.
