    Does buy 1 get 1 free work?

    When you go to the supermarket, you may find buy 1 get 1 free deals and I love those because I always feel like I am getting a better value for money. Sometimes, when stuff goes on sales like this, I would buy a larger quantity of the product as I would pay less but I only do this on products that have a long expiry date.

    Do you offer buy 1 get 1 free for your services here or other places? Does it increase your sales? There is no expiry date for services you offer so theoretically, buy 1 get 1 free deals should be quite popular. I personally try to look for good deals when buying services here and a buy 1 get 1 free deal will definitely attract me to buy the service.

    What are the disadvantages of offering a buy 1 get 1 free deal, if any?

    Yeah BOGOF's do work. Especially in the supermarket! When it's for something you usually or might usually buy. I think they can work well for services on here as well though. In the same way. Because chances are they're already looking for that sort of thing and if you are basically going to do double the work for them for the same price as one service then nobody will turn that down if they want that service anyway. I think BOGOF's work best for people who like to sit on the fence a bit or are a little interested in your service. So if they've been checking it out and mulling over it for a few days. And then suddenly see that you've added a BOGOF to it so they can get it twice for the price of one, they will be much more likelier to purchase it.

    I use BTGOF's on some of my services. Buy Three Get One Free. So if they buy it once and then again, the next time they purchase again, they get one free then. That works out quite well as without it I don't get as many sales for the same service. I think if I put BOGOF's though and did buy one and get one free I would definitely get more sales! But it would also mean a lot of extra work for me. Work that I value highly and provide a high quality service for as well. If I was doing it for free, it might boost my sales though so could be worth doing for a while. Especially perhaps for new services. That could be a good tag line for new services to use to get those first sales under your belt that it needs to increase trust in that service and the ratings left for it but not all the time only until you get those sales.

    So the disadvantage are or could be, increased workload and less time on your hands. But the advantages would be increased sales which can boost even more sales so that you can remove the BOGOF offer. Or keep it going if it's working for you and you're happy with that. It's all about experimenting with these things. A simple line of text in your description can have a massive impact on its sales rate. Does buy 1 get 1 free work?

    BOGO definitely works on almost anything. The only things I would think someone wouldn't be able to do a BOGO for is a house, car, or some kind of huge purchase like that lol Does buy 1 get 1 free work?

    As Mike said, there are a lot of BOGO offers in the super market. Usually when I go to the store I'll know what I want to get, but sometimes there will be a different brand of say Italian Sausage and it's buy one get one free, so I'll pick up twice as much italian sausage and make it all at the same time so it seems like I'm eating like a king muahahaha!!!! You have to be careful with stuff like meats that are BOGO. I say this because usually the supermarket or meat counter is trying to liquidate the meat it cut up at the beginning of the week so that it doesn't go bad and then they can't sell it. I've seen a few times where BOGO meat has turned brown because it was out for a few days in the refrigerators. Brown mean is not a good thing to ingest if you were wondering lol Does buy 1 get 1 free work?

    For something like a service here on SeoClerks I would think that a BOGO offer would do pretty well. I do see a lot of people do the buy 3 get one free, but never a buy one get one free type of deal. A lot of the services here take time so it makes sense that it's not buy one get one and it's buy 3 to get one free. I've fallen into the BOGO offers here actually lol. I planned on buying 2 services for 2 different websites and it was buy 3 get one free, so I bought a third one that I didn't need just to get the free one haha Does buy 1 get 1 free work?

    People love freebies and bonuses, so offering "buy one get one free" is always great offer to have and attract more buyers. Seller have to be careful when offering such deal to adjust price(s) in order to not make a loss or bad time consuming while providing such service or product, specially if there is some physical product which have to be shipped over post or couriers. BOGOF is always great to use and they work in case of "selling more" to earn more money, just need to calculate everything right ;)

    It is certainly a good way to attract more sales. It depends on what you are offering though. Sometimes it is not worthwhile to do it, for instance, in my case if I spend an hour writing an article, I cannot afford to offer the same length on a free article. It might be feasible for shorter articles. All in all however, if one really needs to attract more customers and generate more sales, it is a good option.

    Yes I think this works well. I actually bought 3 bags of washing powder just yesterday at the grocery store. They had my brand piled high right at the checkout with a big sign that said buy 3 for the price of 2 so I just threw them in just as I tip the till.

    Any way that helps with saving is big in my mind, especially in this day and age where everything is so expensive! And in a marketplace like this I believe it will do really well.

    I love what Razzy said, watch out for certain products on special at the grocery store, especially meat!

    Yeah they works perfect, and i personally love BOGOF offers, well..who wouldn't love to get one product for free. I'm thinking to do something similar with my products, definitely would be great and I'm sure that these offers works always to attract more buyers and to increase sales.

    We have a great supermarket here which is the only one who is offering BOGO products, and people love it, once these offers starts you have to wait there at least one hour to get that product because it's full with people everywhere.

    Well, I think buy one get one free at my current rates, will be a little to much work for the earnings I'm getting. So yeah, I'll won't make such a discount.

    Maybe only if I up my current rates, but that won't be too fair for the customer even though I'm fairly certain the most big retail products that have such a sale are actually upped in price before doing the actual sale with buy one get one for free.

    Yeah, this is a strategy that many marketers both on the internet and offline have used to raise sales. It is not easy to raise sales, but I understand that it is quite an easy way to raise sales by using the buy 1 get 1 free method. I have seen people use that and it worked perfectly for them.
