    Brain Freeze again! Any Ideas for How to Videos?

    I started with doing some really simple How To Youtube videos for online marketing and I was wanting to really get going with it.

    Instead as usual I have gotten side tracked and then brain freeze thinking about all the content I am creating.

    I am looking for just really quick and easy How To video ideas that I can film a quick desktop video showing how to do it while I explain what I am doing.

    I've noticed it is often the simplest things that do well!

    My main goals are to provide some value to my subscribers by sharing tips with them while being able to easily add new content for a while.

    So if you have any cool ideas please feel free to throw them out here!

    Well, I'd say it's all about who your intended audience is. Who your readers are and what those readers are looking for. If it's for your blog readers, then yoy may already know what sort of things they are into and might need a video tutorial on. You could be general videos that show how to do something like how to use a certain site like Pinterest or something, or how to do something on that site. It could be for Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site you have a lot of experience in using that some of your readers might not but may want to know. So really, there is an unlimited amount of videos you could make since there are many different things you can do on each site. For example: Facebook, you could make videos showing how to create a page or how to create a group. How to set up scheduled posts and how to create polls. Stuff like that. Then for Twitter you could show how to create video tweets and things like that and for Pinterest, how to create a board and how to find people in your niche and how to make your pins get noticed more. Whatever you know about. That's just some ideas I'm throwing out there for you. But one thing to do is to get inside your readers heads. Find out what problems some of your readers are having. This could be through looking through their past comments to see if they've mentioned something they have a problem with doing for lack of knowing, to kind of stalking their social media profiles or forum posts from the past and seeing if there's something they've said that they are having a problem with. Then research the crap out of it and find a solution to that problem. Then create a video for it! But you could just as well find out about problems that people in general have and create videos that offer a solution to that problem too. Try to think about what sort of problems your intended audience might have and go that route. That's where it's at right now providing videos as solutions to peoples every day problems.     Thanks Mike. Yeah I have been very much focused on Wordpress How To's and I never thought of actually adding quick How To's for social media too.

    Thanks I think this will be something I can add to my list of things to tackle. I quite like that. There is a lot that can be added for Facebook that I know about. Sometimes I find it hard to come up with the basic things. I often complicate things more than they need to be!

    I have never ever done a Twitter video before, so I don't even know how to do that. I really enjoy learning something new and then sharing that with my readers so that would be an awesome thing to get started with. It makes sense because when I research how to do it everything is fresh in my mind so it is easy to do a quick how to!

    Yes, I am a musician and do music videos sometimes . So you don't lose any of your idea's due to brain freeze lol, you should maybe use like windows movie maker and everytime you have an idea or illustration filmed enter it into the movie maker. That way you can keep adding in your illustrations or ideas then edit the parts later. You can also add some nice background music to the audio also in the end for a nice professional touch. Also don't forget Vimeo is a good place to share videos also.

    Oh I am not that good enough yet to add music to my videos LOL. I do it simple and I have no editing skills!

    I agree with you that sometimes people look up some of the most basic things, and after all background stuff is what the majority of people will be looking out for. I understand that at some point you are going to have a brain freeze. Rather than continuing to ponder about what you could do, I suggest you stop and take a break or do something totally unrelated. Later you might have some ideas. You could also try to keep a notebook where you list keywords/titles/questions you could do in the future. Once you have say 10-20 different ideas, you can keep it as a backup when you get a brain freeze. I offered you practical suggestions. Regarding actual titles I think Mike advised you really well.

    Thanks. Yes I have my notebook! How silly of me!

    I was so focused on quick how to's and I use that notebook for all my post ideas... it will be full of little things I can do!

    Thank you! By the way I wanted to place another order with you but I got complete brain freeze and I can't think of the work to give you LOL. I will have a look through my notebook this weekend and get the order to you as soon as possible.

    I was thinking of buying that online trading one, but I just don't think it quite fits with my website? What do you think?

    One video that I saw is about tying the necktie. It is a demonstrative video that is easy to follow. Depending on the topic that you will present in the video, my suggestion is you have to define the duration first. The shorter the video, the better. And since you are doing a How To video so you should check on the clarity of the instruction. When you are done, you can test the video with people in your circle to let you know if the video is easy to understand.
