NBC Announce Everyone to Have RFID chip by 2017

My friend just sent me this video and tbh it doesn't really tell us anything we don't already know about facial recognition software, and there isn't actually any official government body or spokesperson saying anything about it being official or anything. This looks very much like something NBC have concocted up because they know that this is a very hot subject right now. They're saying that in 10 years time this will be brought into effect mainstream so that we can identify who people are who they say they are.

What do you think of this? Do you think the government should make it obligatory? That everyone has a microchip inserted into them. Would you allow your child to be cut open and have a microchip inserted into their hand?

Does the good it can do outweigh the bad it can do?

Is this the "mark of the beast" as prophesied in Revelation 13:16-17?

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

I’m totally against rfid chip, because there are more disadvantages than advantages. This is nothing else, but a way to have a total control over people,to know what we are doing, where we are, simply they want to know everything about us. Imagine if the server where they store our data will get compromised..because nothing is 100% secure and unhackable. Do we really need a rfid chip? World it’s not going to die without rfid chips, instead of investing millions or trillions in this technology they should do something to decrease the poverty. As I said, they want to be our god, but that would never happen. This reminds me a movie called “Kingsman”, where a “man” wanted to get the full control over the people , via sim cards...

OMG I don't want my children cut up and having something inserted into them. Then again look at how children go missing, this sort of thing would cut down child abductions drastically. Imagine having that face recognition software all over, your child would hopefully be found immediately. So I guess even though it is awful it might be really good?

I'm not sure I want to be recognized and followed everywhere I go.

Then there are the bonuses, known criminals and terrorists wouldn't be able to be on the loose quite like they are now would they?

This is something that is probably on the way no matter what we think....

I think the procedure of inserting the chip would be painless, for everyone and that includes children. If I'm willingly to do it for myself I would also want my children to have it.

I think this is the future, technology is not bad, I mean just look at us and compare how we live with how people lived 200 years ago. There is virtually no comparison , technology has improved our lives and will continue to do so in the future.

I think this chip scanning thing is only the beginning of a long direct relationship between human and machines.

Yes I'm sure it would be painless and yes I agree that this is most likely the way of the future,so to fight against it really would be pointless.

However I do get the chills when I think of how the governments of the world will be using this technology, like Mike says,it is all very Big Brother style isn't it?

Yeah well, do you mean Project MKUltra? That was a CIA experiment using different illegal techniques in the interrogation and torture of known or suspected terrorists to weaken them enough to force them into confession (some who were proven innocent). It was started in the 50's but ran on for many years up until the 70's as far as we know of. Very reminiscent of Guantanamo Bay detention camp which started in 2002 and wasn't shut down until 09 for doing many illegal things to "suspects" for the "better of the country". This included giving them drugs like LSD and other psychotropic drugs, hypnosis, sensory deprivation (not being able to sleep), isolation, verbal and physical abuse and torture like waterboarding and electric shock on wire beds. Exactly like you see in the movies. That's where the movies get these things from! But it just goes to show you that the government know no bounds. Sure the government governs us, but who governs the government? I tell you, old Abraham Lincoln would turn in his grave he would if he could see some of the things they're trying to do today!

But to be fair, the government is also the reason you are fit and healthy and have all your teeth. If it wasn't for the government we'd have no infrastructure, no education system, no schools, universities, colleges, hospitals or healthcare or pension system in place and all have bad teeth and still be living in the stone age!

Idk on one hand I'm against the way the government works and how it acts like its Big Brother and gets the last say. But on the other hand you have to be grateful for it because it's provided all these things. And that's a way that most people think about it. One of those things you can't live with and can't live without either?

But it's still we the people right!?
