Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
From what I've seen, a lot of SEOclerks sellers could use some polishing in the Want To Buy bidding department. It seems like most bids are.. well, lacking in substance, and therefore not taken seriously.
There's a lot of noise in the WTB section, and most bids don't seem to match up with the gig. It doesn't seem like most sellers even read the descriptions.
If you want to stand out to a potential new client in WTB, be specific.
When I post a WTB, I NEED to see that the seller understands the instructions completely. I disregard any and all bids that don't make it extremely clear that the seller knows what I want done.
Your bid is a great chance to explain to the client what exactly you can do. Don't be vague. In fact, go into detail about how well you understand the details of the gig. Take a few moments to put into your own words what you'll do, even if it seems a little bit redundant. Believe me, you'll stand out big time in the sea of vague, rushed bidders.

That's why I created this post on How to Properly Bid on People's WTB's and WTT's Be Hired and Get Work as a Freelancer. It has tips and instructions on how to properly bid on peoples WTB's and explains why you shouldn't post anything other than the buyer is asking for.
Right now it's a bit of a free-for-all smorgasbord of bids and it looks a mess and leaves the WTB creator feeling miffed, confused and still no closer to finding someone for the task or thing he/she is needing. I think perhaps maybe some more details could be given on the WTB itself for bidders about bidding. Some more rules and guidelines perhaps and possibly even link to that post above.
That said, it's not all bad. There are still many genuine good bidders that place good/relevant and reasonably priced bids on peoples WTB's. And what I like about it is that sometimes after someone has bid a low price for something, someone else will bid on it after with an even lower price because they want to get the work. I sometimes wait a few days for that to happen and it usually does and then I'm able to get it at a really low price and depending on the bidder and person I'm buying it from, the quality of the work doesn't suffer either.
There's one guy that bid on one of my WTB's many moons ago that I still use now many times a week and it's saved me a lot of money because the actual service sells for about 3x as much on here and I get it at a fraction of that cost. He's happy because he's got regular work and money coming in and I'm happy because his work quality is good and on time.
So it's not all bad. There is still a lot of good in the WTB section despite the occasional bad/wrong/abusive bid. Here here! It seems a lot of people still don't know how to use the [b]WTB section[/b] properly or do, but just don't care and bid things that are unrelated to what the buyer is after. Or they bid something that might be in the same industry but still not what the buyer is asking for. And some people don't put much emphasis on their bids and don't put enough details.
