Making sure everything is just right before launching a new website can be a very demanding task, especially for Project Managers which need to coordinate all departments to get everything right in one try.
Before I give the “Go!” from an SEO point of view I always make sure the following are up and running before launch:
1. Unique meta descriptions for every page - keyword optimized
2. Unique title tags for every page - keyword optimized
3. Keyword in URL
4. Have the best and most useful info in the first paragraph
5. I check keyword density
6. If we did a re-design I provide a list of necessary redirects
7. Implement sitemap.xml
8. Set and verify Search Console and GA
9. Implement “Alt” tag for all images
10. Implement a proper robots.txt
What other to-do tasks do you guys think I should add?

I understand most of what you have listed here Cristian, but while I uderstand the concept of keyword density can you please let me know what the optimal density is?
And then item number 10 robot.txt can you please explain this? I have seen it mentioned before but I have no idea what this means. Oh dear, I've never done anything like this. I have just used a website builder and published my website and started adding pages. Yes I do al of these things, but I get to them as I add new content.
