How Does The Affiliate Section Work within the options of setting up an order?

Whenever I want to create a service, I always seem to wonder what the affiliate/affiliate-commission means. I may choose to activate it, but I wouldn't know the actual use really.... Please help me out here.

I think he means the Custom Affiliate commission when you are creating your service. There is now an area where you can set a different affiliate commission that anyone selling that service as an affiliate can earn. Instead of the usual 10% commission they earn.

You can set it from 10% up to 70%.

What the commission is, if there is a custom commission amount, doesn't show on the service itself though. You will have to actually put in your service description something about it. It could just be a simple sentence that says Affiliates: Earn an extra 40% commission on this service when you sell it. Or something like that. Which would inspire and motivate people to promote it for you. Obviously the commission that's paid to the affiliate who promotes and sells your service will come out of your earnings for it.

So if you sell a service that sells for $100 and you set a custom affiliate commission for 50%. You will only earn 50% from it and the rest will go to the affiliate that is promoting/selling that service for you. Of course, that would be an insanely generous commission and would inspire/motivate people to actually promote and sell your service as an affiliate which would get the sales rolling in. And then afterwards you could reduce the custom commission amount down but that would be entirely and completely up to you!

Oh wow Mike, I never knew about that feature before. That is certainly something that I can make use of. So I can search around for services that I like and see if maybe some of them offer more commission above the normal 10%?

Where do I find this information on a service Mike? Would the seller specify this in their description or is there somewhere else where this is specified?

I haven't seen where it is stated that you could earn X% if you were to be an affiliate for the service. That is a great question. Perhaps it's shown on the affiliate tab here:

However on the actual service pages I don't see anything. I am awaiting for an answer to this as well.
