Front page slider is not looking profesional ?

I have been here for the last 3 years and my experience and expectations are always high and the site is really superb from its look and feel to advertising and from sales to support.
But from last month in the homepage there is a slider of 2 images which is not looking professional from my point of view. because this site is a professional site.
What are your views on the slider? Is it looking good for the site homepage ?

I guess these two images on slider at front page are only for testing purposes and will be improved to professional quality, because multiple other updates were in progress at same time on whole website.

I think they can be very useful on the long run, especially for new users and potential buyers. Tells people what the website is all about.
But I think the colors are too dark, or at least too dark for my tastes. I have to agree with hotcontent, they're a little bit ugly and depressing.

Yeah they just need more details added to them and some new sliders added to the mix! But as Abid has pointed out there have been many other things that Jordan the team have been working on lately to improve the site and add more features to it for the users, buyers and sellers. I agree they are rather basic even though they do get the core message across and that's what matters. They do look rather simple and not as detailed as you might expect them to be but again, this was only really put up as a test and probably to get peoples opinions and feedback on it and Jordan may have been waiting for something like this to come about for him to make changes to it and add new slides to it. I think it will really benefit having new slides added to it for the different parts of the site.

Some slider ideas I suggest would be/are;

A slider that shows for WTB section.
A slider that shows for WTT section.
A slider that shows for the Community Discussion section.
A slider that shows for the Blog Reviews, eBooks, Software and Themes section.

And of course possibly improving the current sliders as well so they have a bit more detail to them.

It's not a really pressing issue though and there are more pressing issues here to deal with at the moment. But it is the first thing that new people who visit the site see before they register and sign in so I agree some emphasis should be put on them soon to improve them.

I have never really paid much attention to the front page sliders. Looking at them now, yes I guess that they can be improved on, however I have noticed recently that there have been lots of really cool changes which make a big difference to my experience on this website.

I am not particularly worried how pretty or visually appealing a website like this is though. For me as a buyer I value the functionality above all else and that is something I do get here at SeoClerks. That said maybe others value a more eye catching website and that will help with affiliate referrals?

The sliders are a feature that is currently being tested. So of course the images would be the themes default slider images. Please give the site some time to research and gather data with the slider. So many want things done as fast as possible, and that's not possible. I'm sure the slider images will change at some point in the future to get a more "professional" feel.

Also, if you have any suggestions of what to include in the slider, other than saying the slider isn't looking professional why not state what you can do to improve it?

Hi hotcontent thanks for your question. I appreciate your awareness. I think SEOclerks just has added slide show same days back. And I am sure they just added it as test purpose. But at all from me still not bad. Yes I am sure, it is need to more attractive and more looking profession for matching with site strength or site reputation. I think it is not difficult to change it with short. But, you may know recently Jordan has changed front page looks and I think he is very busy with other changes. And I request to you, if you have any suggestion feel free to share here.
