What are your goals, dreams, aspirations or targets you want to meet and achieve as a freelancer?
We all need goals and targets, just like we all need dreams and aspirations. Having a goal or a target in life keeps you motivated and inspired to get out of bed in the morning!
The same can be said for your dreams and aspirations as well. They are what keep us going, pushing forward to make those dreams become a living reality.
And they could be for anything! Maybe you dream of owning your own hotel or restaurant. Or perhaps you want to open some other business like an Internet cafe or beach side bar or something.
Maybe you just want to save up enough money to go on a nice holiday with your partner or friends or save up enough money for that new car or gadget you want.
One thing I like to do is cut out pictures or print them off from the Internet and stick them to my wall next to my PC. So if I want a car, I'll put a picture of that car up. If I want to go to a certain place, I'll find a picture of it and put it next to my PC on the wall. If I want the Xbox One Slim, I'll stick that up too. Basically, I'll put pictures of the things that I want around me so that I am always seeing them and then I am reminded about what I'm doing all my work for and it drives me to crack on and get that thing. Then when I've got it, I can remove the picture and replace it with something else.

It's very true what you say, most people want to have a big house, nice car, large bank account etc. But more than this security. That is what it all comes down to at the end of the day isn't it? Being able to provide security for yourself and your family. Something to fall back on. Not having to worry about how you're going to pay your rent or the bills or if you can put some nice food on the table and clothes on your back and shoes on your feet. That's what everyone is aiming for really. Well most people. Some people don't want to live in a big house or own a fast car. They just want to live a humble life in a small cottage or bungalow or flat and live a simple life that isn't filled up with all the things the world says you must have otherwise you are seen as somehow, inferior or as though there is something wrong with you or like you wasn't able to to achieve as well or something and I don't agree with or see it that way but that is the world for you. It comes down on you when you do too well (like when you get really rich and become a billionaire) and it also comes down on you when you're poor as well. But that is the world for you and you have to do what YOU want to do regardless to anyone's opinion of train of thought. IMHO anyway.

Having a goal is the best way to keep being motivated at what you do. Personally I focus on the earnings, so as to make sure that the family has a suitable income, and since I am very passionate about home decor I tend to come up with a project or something I would like to buy when I have enough savings. I would also love to go for a vacation as it has been a long while since we went for a trip abroad. I truly love your idea of putting up pictures of things you want to buy :)

Yeah it works! I started doing it after I saw a girl I used to work with in an office doing it. She wanted a car and some other things and she used to cut them out of magazines or print them off from the Internet and stick them next to her PC or on her wall next to her desk. That was her motivation for working in such a horrible job! It's what she'd look at to remember why it is she was working there! LOL. You could do the same thing for a holiday as well of course! Print out some pictures of some nice place you'd like to go and stay at such as the resort itself, a beach or a picture of the hotel pool or something. Put them next to your PC Elite and it will make you better, faster, more determined worker I bet you of that! :)

Awesome Lynne! That sounds perfectly fair, reasonable and very understandable! You are a woman with a plan and I respect you for that. But more than that, you're not doing it just for yourself, you're doing it for your family and it's clear to see that is what inspires and motivates you the most to work hard and get those things! I really like the sound of a Jungle Gym! Hopefully one day when SEOClerks has a big meet up, some time in the future, after you have got all of that, (fingers crossed). We can all come and play on it and dibs on the slide!! LOL :D

Soooo I'll probably buy a house and once she's out of high school we can move somewhere more ideal. And by "Ideal" I mean into the woods where no one is around and I can walk around naked if I want If you've never seen them, you're probably thinking of a house shaped as a bladder lol.

I want to get a plot of land and build my own house as well. The only problem is that my little girl loves her school and there are no plots around us. Well, there is one plot, but it's pretty far from the school and the guy wants double what it's worth :( Soooo I'll probably buy a house and once she's out of high school we can move somewhere more ideal. This is obviously a much more advanced one than normal, but you get the idea :D
You would inflate a bladder/balloon to the shape of how you want your house.
Construct a rebar system over it to the shape of the bladder.
Pour the concrete and wait for it to set.
BOOM! HOUSE!!!
Supposedly it's about 1/2 the price of a house in a similar size and half the price to heat and cool, so that's pretty awesome :D
I think I would use something like this in the woods or if I were to get a lake house. Putting one of these bad boys right no the water would be pretty awesome :D

My motivation is to push myself so I don't have to raise my kid in the same conditions. I want to give her the world and if I'm not busting my ass trying to do so, it will never happen. I'm on the right path, just not there yet. Now I'm not poor, I'm just not wealthy and I want to be. I want to own a huge house with a ferrari in the driveway and I won't stop until I have that. I mean I'll settle for a nice chevy silverado, but I'm a truck guy lol
I've been in situations where I didn't know if I should pay my rent or put food on the table. Luckily I have a great landlord and he understands that people have hard times. Right now everything is fine, I'm making plenty of money and can pay for whatever we need. But with online marketing and sales, you never know if the rug is going to be pulled out from under you
I now have an adwords account again and I won't be making the same mistakes I did in the past. Slowly but surely I'm getting back to my former glory. And my little girl helps me every day
