Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
In recent years Google showed interest in giving good rankings to massive pieces of content for industry related niches.
For example, if I am to write 350 words on "pokemon go stock market" I would be lucky to rank in the top 50.
But if I would be producing a 2500 words article, full of relevant indexes, related subjects and going on in details about everything there is to know about this subject, my chances in ranking in top 10 would increase a lot, even with a low authority blog.
Google love big content that can cover multiple related subjects and can help the user get all the information it needs without doing multiple searches. You also get additional points for having lots of photos and graphs + audio or video content in the same article.

If I'm posting something on my websites that aren't business related I'll make a funny meme using a meme generator and post that image. This way I'll be able to give my readers a little chuckle and they'll keep reading
I'm a big fan of adding 1,000 word optimized articles to my sub pages. I won't deal with anything less, usually.
It's true that Google, Yahoo! and Bing love a lot of info, but it has to still be written well enough for the majority of people to understand it. If you have a ton of horribly spun content on your page and you're trying to push it as unique, you're just going to be slapped with the ban hammer quicker than you can say "SEO" lol :D
I agree that adding images, links and other things to break up the text slightly is a good idea. Not only is it goof for your SEO purposes with the new keywords in links and alt tags on your images, but it's good for the readers because it gives them a kind of break while reading. They'll read down the first quarter of the page and see an image, they'll check out the image and be refreshed to read on even more, if that makes sense lol :D If I'm posting something on my websites that aren't business related I'll make a funny meme using a meme generator and post that image. You need to write your posts, articles and comments for you readers, not the search engines. Google, Yahoo! and Bing are getting wiser to people writing just for rankings so if you get caught doing so, you'll regret it :(

One of my posts was 3500 words... that is not easy LOL but it was a good article, well written and packed with useful information. I wish I could write one of those a week :)

In that thread, I explain how writing an article is rather not unlike cooking a three piece meal. First you have your starters which would be the top part of your article content. Then you have your vegetables, carrots, peas, potatoes and other veg which would represent certain parts of your content. Then you have the main part being the meat which would represent the rich part of your content (the juicy parts). And of course, a good meal always comes with dessert too so this would make up the ending parts of your article. Put them all together and you have a very good three piece meal and in terms of content, a high quality article that can run into thousands of words.
Worth a Thousand Words
The saying "it's worth a thousands words" (which you sometimes see on WordPress template demos, certainly rings true today! However, just simply adding 1000 words of text doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good quality article. As we know, a lot of people like to write a lot of fluff (filler content). And it could only literally be one or two sentences in that article that are actually worth reading! The rest of it is just pure spiel spat out by the webmaster or blogger who is writing purely for the search engines and not for people.
To me, and possibly to Google, a high quality article is of a minimum length of 1000 words but more than this, it's an article that is split into different parts and goes into detail about each part. It would contain unique images and references too such as to citations and references to things they are talking about.
Outbound Links Count Too!
As a perfect example; here's an article I was reading that my friend sent me on Whatsapp the other day (he's heavily into conspiracy theories and always digs deeper than the usual person might look). The article is on The CIA’s ‘Pokémon Go’ App is Doing What the Patriot Act Can’t. The article itself is very informing and links to related/relevant/cited sources of interest and linking to very high authority sites that are extremely relevant and helpful to the reader for finding out more information.
These sorts of articles that contain useful links of relevant interest have a better chance of ranking higher over other articles that may be of similar or the same sort of thing but don't contain any outbound links to any other sites.
The way I see it is, Google likes to help people, so if there's an article that contains links to other similar/related sources of interest, it would be far more likely to rank that article higher knowing that the person will be able to find further studies by reading it.
It's all relative.
