Latent Semantic Indexing means in essence search related terms and keywords you can find on each google result page, at the bottom.
Example for seoclerks:
Note: Google sees twitter as a synonym for seoclerks (lol)
When I want to create a very relevant article capable of ranking on multiple keywords, I include the LSI keywords for my main keyword, in the content itself. This basically ensures I will rank on these terms that Google sees as synonyms of my main keyword.
This is really a great trick in creating quality optimized content, thought I should share it here with you guys.

I always try and concentrate on one main keyword and put that in the prime places, then I also target about 3 or 4 variations and then write naturally.
It is amazing some of the terms I get ranked for without trying. I love checking out which keywords I am getting my traffic from.
I love LSI keywords because often people try and just rank for one keyword and repeat the exact same keyword over and over when in fact it is much better to create variations in your writing. I have found myself automatically ranking for Latent Semantic Indexing keywords. By writing long posts over 1000 words and just writing naturally you will easily rank for loads more LSI keywords. I always try and concentrate on one main keyword and put that in the prime places, then I also target about 3 or 4 variations and then write naturally.
