Is it acceptable to have a five to six-word keywords? Would that be better than using three to four-word keywords?

While it is acceptable these werry long tail keywords don't deliver as much traffic as shorter keywords

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When your keyword or keyphrase contains 4-6 words, it is generally referred as a long tail search term. Long tail search term delivers better than one or two words keywords. For example, it is better to use "DSLR camera for professional photographers" instead of "DSLR Camera." Long tail search term is the exact phrase that people type on the search bar. When there is an exact match, chances of ranking high on SERP increases.

That kind of keyword with more than 1 word is called a key phrase which I think is much better than a 1-word keyword that is very general in meaning. When the keyword is not specific you can expect a lot of competition which puts your keyword at a disadvantage in terms of ranking in the search list. It is better if your keyword contains several words to be specific and will have fewer competition.
