    A Great SEO Trouble - Is there a way out?

    There is this guy who sells PBN service on SEOClerks. I bought a service from him for my one site in the early May of this year and along with that I also bought a couple other services which were just transparent and never did any harm to any of my websites before.

    On the 15th May, my website which was ranking on the page 1 for six popular keywords reached on page 7 for all those keywords and since then I haven't been able to got it back to even page 5. I didn't suspect this seller's service after that all.

    Today, my other site also reached page 8 for all the keywords that were ranking page 1 before. It happened right after a couple of days of availing that service again.

    These 2 sites were the major sources of my income. I am very scared yet happy that I have found what has been doing so much harm to my hard work and bank balance.

    Please tell me how do I get back to page 1.

    I suggest you go here: http://pixelgroove.com/serp/sandbox_checker/ - and check your current status for both websites. Maybe you are being Deindexed, Penalized or Sandboxed. Either way, that's too big of a drop to be something like Google Dance.

    Thanks very much for the reply Cristian but my websites haven't been deindexed, penalized or sandboxed at all. He didn't provide me the report about which sites he made my backlinks with but he sent me a couple screenshots of the posts themselves. I tried for about 15-20 minutes and located which sites he made my backlinks with. They are total spammy sites with the stolen content and he didn't even care to spin the content.

    He just gave me the money back for my 3rd order but not replying to my requests to delete the posts he made for the other 2 websites.

    That is so infuriating. I am very sorry this happened eljefseo. I suggest you publicly mention who this seller is because I feel he is abusing of buyers as well as stealing their money. In your case he also affected your ranking which is something I am sure you worked hard for and it will affect your business. I would certainly let support staff know of this matter so that they will take proper action against this user since he will be affecting the reputation of the site too. As Everett said, when it comes to hiring SEO experts, you need to choose very, very wisely and carefully.

    Yes, Elite, it is indeed very infuriating. I don't think SEOClerks would allow me mention him publicly but I have given him a big red and I don't think anybody would buy his service again after seeing that. I certainly worked hard for the rankings and I spent thousands of dollars for it too. Yes, I will choose very wisely and carefully from now on.

    Sorry to hear that, it sounds very upsetting. It must be a penalty or something like Cristian said. I woud follow his advice and check on those things.

    I just checked that. There's no penalty or any such thing. Only those backlinks caused it. I have sent him 15 messages and he hasn't replied to a single of those yet.

    If those backlinks are spammy and with a low level of authority you can remove them via Search Console - Links to Your Site. Download the list with your current backlinks and upload a list with the ones you want to disavow.

    Fair note. Doing that doesn't actually "remove" the links, it only tells Google not to count them as part of your backlinks. You will still have to actually remove those links. You can try to contact the webmaster of those sites where the links are and politely ask them to remove them for you. Chances are they are more responsive than the seller is. I think it's disgusting when sellers ignore you after you have purchased their service and I think anyone that ignores anyone on here should not be allowed to sell on here. There's no excuse for it and burying their head in the sand is not a good thing to do. I would contact support about this @eljefeseo and make a complaint about the seller ignoring you because as said, there should be no place for that on a professional marketplace and I've had it happen to me before and it's just infuriating.     A Little Update

    I just kept messaging that seller and turned out he is selling paid cheap backlinks that you get for 10 cent each and which Google bans on sight for 45$. I kept requesting him to delete it and he confessed in the end that he has no control over it and he just buys it for 10 cent each.

    Man, SEOClerks must ban these frauds.

    That is one thing you have to look out for. All these "SEO Gurus" claiming they have expertise, etc when in fact they have no knowledge of SEO at all. I'm hoping you can recover your rankings back. You should contact support and inform them of the seller as the service may be harmful.

    That’s very expensive lesson to pay for your adventure. At least we now know that buying a service is not exactly the reason and that we should be aware of the potential harm that it can bring our site. I cannot imagine the pain you felt when you realized that your ranking from page 1 went down to the lower pages of the search list. To go back to the former ranking perhaps you can upload new contents more often and tag it with the proper keywords.
