Have you ever heard about Norse?

Since the first time when i visited their website i was super impressed by their service, and thinking how is that possible.

It looks like watching those animated movies online , but in reality your are watching cyber attacks which are happening worldwide in real time.

I've heard of the Norse God before! Some mythology God from yonder years. I'm thinking they are called that because of some of his attributes and character qualities in that they are all about exposing and overcoming cyber attacks in the same way he was about exposing and overcoming maleficent forces of evil. That said, Norse looks like a collection and amalgamation of combined forces, groups, companies and people all working together that has come about from the last decade or so in the war on fighting cyber crime. Looks like they sift through tons of tb of data flows from around the world and use filters to test and check for all manner of attacks and ddos's, fraud and etc thats happening now and then use that data to pass on to law enforcement agencies in the global fight on cyber crime.

That's basically how I see it right now but I suspect it's probably actually much more than that and there's much they know they don't show on their site. What you're looking at there on their site is only a demonstration in graphical and visual form of what is really going on. Although saying that they do have a that Attack Map that shows Live attacks happening now. It's quite a scary page just to be on actually!

This site reminds me of the Internet map site have you ever seen that? I love that site, zooming in and out of all the different websites like that seeing which ones are connected to which and which sites are biggest and finding many sites didn't know of. Useful.

As for any other company that does the same as Norse. There are many organizations and law enforcement agencies set up for the detection and prevent of Internet crime yes. Symantec Corp for one. The FBI too. Unfortunately there's none setup to detect and prevent Internet banalities like Rickrolling and bad memes. When that happens the Internet will be a better, brighter place.

As the internet technology progresses more and more attacks are being made to systems. So I'm guessing that is where Norse comes in. I like the methodology behind the framework. We'll probably see an influx in security systems like Norse in the near future. Could you imagine if you had to use these systems because the attacks were so bad?

I leaped on over to the Norse Appliance, and it appears they don't have prices onsite that is visible. You have to contact them for a quote. Lazy people like me will just skip over that, and click the "X" button. They should implement a system that will automatically provide a quote for you.

Yes I agree with you. Many people will just skip that process thinking it is time consuming and conducive to having people contact them and badgering them to go on even when they do not really want to. There could definitely be a system which allows you to input info and it calculates a quite for you. They would be able to do so much better that way definitely.

That's true. But then on the flip side, it probably minimizes out the people that don't really need it over those that really do need it. I guess there is some methodology in their madness anyway.

I understand your point, but they appear to be a big company and good in what they do, and i think they are. About their prices, since they are not showing prices on their website , it looks like they are offering big things, which are not for people like you and me.

Also, i think that they calculate prices based on your needs.

Hi procoder thanks for sharing your nice information. I never heard about Norse before. But, now I little bit understand how importance it is! I think I should read more about Norse very soon. And I am hopping that your information will help me to understand new security system.

Nope this is the first I've heard of Norse, or a service like this being offered before. This should be quite interesting and like Mike said quite scary to watch too!
