So I'm just curious as to how everyone does their work from home....
Do you use a laptop?
Do you use a desktop?
Or do you use both?
Do you find that one is easier to work from than the other?
So I'll start it off...I use a desktop with two monitors every single day to work from home. I like my set up like this because it is easier for me to handle and work on my orders. I do lot of social media and seo promotion, so to be sitting in the right chair with both my monitors is the way I like to work. I have tried working from a laptop before and it just doesn't work out well for me. I can never get comfortable and the one screen is just not enough for me!
Let's hear how everyone else prefers to work!!

I use a desktop PC currently. It's an All-in-one touch screen though. Not one of those big bulky towers I hate those! They are bulky, cumbersome and heavy and always plugged into the wall. I tried to take it to the coffee shop with me one day but found it was too heavy to carry. Plus I was getting a lot of strange looks as well as though I had just stolen it from an office or something. Am joking of course!
I like laptops because of their mobility. And some can have bigger screens that desktop monitors too. But generally I find that laptops aren't as powerful as desktop PC's, even my allinone is more powerful than some modern laptops of today. But having my allinone desktop PC means that I have a location where I can work and when I'm done working, I can get up and walk away at the end of the day.
I did buy quite a good laptop a while back but I never found it very powerful and would lag on me and I never actually put it to that much use as I was always mainly doing work on my desktop PC instead. It was a Sony Vaio as well. But that's the thing about desktop PC' over laptops that always keeps me returning to use my desktop in that they are generally much more powerful and get the work done a lot quicker!
So yeah, I'm an allinone desktop user. But I'm probably going to invest in a laptop again in the January sales. :)

I use my laptop mostly. but I also have a pc.
My laptop recently had to go in for repairs and I had to use my pc for about 2 weeks which felt really strange. I was not used to working at my desk in my office anymore. I realized how little I use my office!
Now I have my laptop back and I am happy as can be working on my cosy couch. Sometimes in winter I like to work from bed and I need my laptop for that :)

What We Know: In a recent case, a 12-year-old boy developed a sponge-patterned skin discoloration on his left thigh after playing a computer game for several hours a day over a period of a few months. Even though he noticed that the laptop was getting hot, he didn’t move it. In another case, a Virginia law student sought medical attention after developing a skin discoloration on her legs.
Dr. Kimberly Salkey, who treated the woman, found that the bottom of her computer, which she used for several hours each day, reached a temperature of 125 degrees.
Dr. Neil J. Korman, a dermatologist and director of the Clinical Trials Unit at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, said that the medical name for “toasted skin syndrome“ is erythema ab igne, which means “redness by fire.”
“It’s a condition that was originally caused by people sitting for too long in front of a fire — maybe a fireplace or a space heater,” he told AOL Health. “It’s related to the skin having prolonged exposure to a certain high temperature, like with a laptop. There was a case of a very obese patient who was resting the laptop on his belly. He developed discoloration. It doesn’t go away.”

It's rare to get cancer from a laptop, but your chances increase if you are constantly on the laptop, or even if the laptop is in your lap. I use to have these little lines on my lap, and stomach area, and the doctors didn't know what it was, and asked me to describe my daily activity, and i told him I used a laptop a lot during the day, and that's when I was informed that not only can it increase chance of cancer, it can make you infertile, havoc on your digestive system and cause all other health issues.Are you sure you want to delete this post?

For the last 8 or 9 years I've dedicated to a laptop for my work because I can be completely mobile. And by completely, I mean I can even work from my car if I set up my phone as a hotspot and then link my laptop to it lol
