Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
Every now and then, my mouse keeps locking up and disconnecting or something. It makes that noise it makes when you detach a device from your USB or something. It's a wired mouse plugged into one of my USB ports. But every now and then it will lock up and disconnect or something and then reconnect and work fine again. Then about 10 minutes later or sometimes later or sometimes less than that it will do it again.
I guess I need to check my error reports or something right?
Or just buy a new mouse?
I only bought this one a few months ago though.
What is there I can look at on my computer after this has happened so I can diagnose or see why it keeps happening?
Sometimes it happens when I bang my desk but sometimes I bang my desk and it doesn't happen. So it can't be forced. Just annoys me right when I'm in the middle of using my mouse for something.

Cheers pro! Only have the mouse plugged into it no other USB used on anything. My keyboard is connected by a male 5 pin cable but that's fine. On checking Device Manager USB root hubs it's showing several generic a composite and storage device. But I only have my mouse plugged into it by USB only. What are these other hubs for? Can I remove some of these?

Uninstall only those two "USB Root Hub" don't touch the other drivers. Are you using external usb hubs? If that doesn't work try to update or re-install your mouse driver from device manager. As is in the screenshot below.

Yeah I think it's my mouse that is the problem. When it cuts out, the lazer inside it turns off. Although, I'm not sure it it's doing that because the mouse is going home on me or if there's a reason in my PC for it. The thing is I only bought this one recently. I think I will get a new one soon though and hopefully it fixes is it's bare annoying when it does happen. Which isn't all the time, but right when I need to use it for some reason! :)
