    What is the main difference between windows 7 each and other Windows versions?

    Hi everybody hope we are very aware about operating system windows 7. And we know Microsoft provides several types of operating version in windrows 7. And as per as I know there has 6 different version based on computer graphic configuration. For example: x64 and x86. It is meaning x64 = 64 bit and x86 =32 bit.

    Windows all 6 versions are below:
    Windows 7 Starter
    Windows 7 home basic
    Windows 7 home premium
    Windows 7 professional
    Windows 7 enterprise
    Windows 7 ultimate

    I am mostly use windows 7 professional 64 bit. But, still I confused what is the basic different between each and other version? Is there any fundamental benefit for each version?

    That's a good question. Actually there are many differences between each version, but i'll try to write only the most important thing

    Let's talk about how much ram can support each version.

    Windows 7 Starter = 2GB in 32bit only.
    Windows 7 Home Basic = 4GB in 32bit / 8GB in 64bit
    Windows 7 Home Premium = 4GB in 32bit / 16GB in 64bit
    Windows 7 Professional = 4GB in 32bit / 192GB in 64bit
    Windows 7 Enterprise = 4GB in 32bit / 192GB in 64bit
    Windows 7 Ultimate = 4GB in 32bit / 192GB in 64bit

    Hi procoder thanks for quick answer. Yes! I agree with you and there has so many different each and other version of OS 7. And one sense your answer very well done cover but I would like to hear distinguishes by performance and benefit and why user have to use such specific version even If I able to use all those like I have 4GB and I able to use 5 separate version? Which fundamental reason influence to use each version? What is benefit or interest there? Hope I have to checked and sure I back to here if I get more beneficial issue for using OS 7 with different version.

    Well.. each of 5 versions has different features from each other, the only version that includes all features of each other version is windows 7 ultimate.

    I can say exactly what are the benefits running x version ,because it depends by many factors. For ex, you can't use windows 7 starter in a powerful computer which has more than 8GB ram, because that OS support only 2GB ram and is a 32bit version only.

    its the main diffrence placed in that ui(user interface) , from version to version windows has modified the ui of that windows products
    and more newest the specs are more higher
    windows 7 x86 x64
    windows 8 x86 x64
    windows 10 x86 x64
    and the products windows also has the purpose license (personaal,business ,professional,etc)

    I didn't even know there were different versions for Windows 7. I thought Windows 7 was well Windows 7...

    I got Windows 10 on the last laptop I purchased and I hate it. How could it come out without even a start button. I don't like using it. Now I keep getting a notification to upgrade to Windows 10 for free... which confuses me no end. How can I upgrade to Windows 10 when I already have Windows 10?

    When is a new Windows coming out? I don't want Windows 10 again!

    I really enjoyed Windows 7 and XP the most...

    Actually windows 10 it's not bad, and personally i really like it. There is no other version coming out because windows 10 is the latest os of Microsoft. Also, it depends what version of windows 10 you are running, maybe you are getting update notifications. Windows 7 is still more stable than windows 10, and it's a powerful system.

    Windows 7 32 bit starter for making developing countries to making most basic computing wants. And this featured more applicable for portable netbooks.

    Windows 7 Home Basic created for OEM partners in developing countries and it has ?the ability to run more than three applications at a times

    Windows 7 Home Premium includes Aero Glass, Aero Background, Windows Touch, Media Center, games, Mobility Center etc

    Windows 7 Professional created based on marketing profession featured. For example: connect to business networks, Encrypting File System for data protection, Location aware Printing to better connect to printers at work and home.

    Windows 7 Enterprise only avaialbe for business pupose licence. Special features for enterprise for bitLocker, directAccess, appLocker

    Windows 7 Ultimate very user friendly and very expensive version of windows and all other windows features are included on ultimate.

    To be honest, I am not aware that there are several Windows 7 versions. My office laptop is running on Windows 7 for more than 3 years now or maybe 4. The new laptop that we bought last year for home use is also running on Windows 7 and I don’t find anything unusual or different with my office laptop. Perhaps I am not that observant or I am not using some other software to see the difference. Most of my use for computer is word processing and spread sheet only aside from the internet.
