How does Yahoo count site backlinks? Is it different from Google?

I don’t think there is someone here who can give a precise answer to that question because search engines have their own algorithm that is different from one another. That means the way that Google counts the backlinks is more likely not the same as the way Yahoo counts the backlinks. But I don’t think it would matter to us because those procedures and processes are transparent to us.
