How do you relieve stress and worry?

On some days, I feel so stressed that I will not finish my work and it causes extreme migraine headaches and worry. My mind races with worry, wondering what will happen if I can't finish my work. I need to be able to harness my thoughts to get my work done. Can you give me practical tips to relieve stress and have better focus so that I can do my work as needed?

Constantly focusing too much on one specific thing can be a sign of OCD. If possible, you should talk to your health care provider about this situation.

As for relieving stress, you need to take more time for yourself to care for your own needs, not just work. Taking a walk in the neighborhood for fresh air will help you gain perspective.

I talk to my friends and family. this helps me the most from relieving stress.

It's very helpful to have a good support network in your life, including friends and family to talk to. This will usually work better than even talking to a therapist. Though realistically not everyone has a good support group, so a therapist is a viable option in that situation.

Taking deep breaths is a good way to relieve your stress when you feel under pressure. In a stressful situation you might stop breathing good. So it's important to restore your breath to normal.

Do some yoga asanas in the early morning. If you practice this on regular basis, it will relieve you mentally and you will be able to remain stress free while you are doing work. It works really well.

Physically I do some Yoga. It makes me breath better, focus on my inner strength, and increase my flexibility.
Mentally and emotionally, I talk to my friends, we all have similar situations, so that is a great support in hard times.
Usually I go to some quiet please, where I can think on my own, after a while I decide to put some music, do an activity outdoors, take my dog for a walk, the whole idea is not to think too much in whatever cause you stress or worries.

Relieving stress and worry for me is letting out whatever is stressing me.I'm one person that do not allow things to bother me.I let go of worries immediately.I take more water and sleep when I'm stressed.

I think practicing mindfulness and gratitude always helps. You can reduce the stress this way. And worrying less also helps in building on things you can do. And that's something I try to do most of the time. Stress takes alot of health toll on your mind. But based on what I have noticed that you can practice mindfulness it'd be reasonable to decide what may or may not work as well. So work on present moment and the future part will be taken care of for sure.

I listen to a lot of music. I take comfort in listening to low-key indie music, and sometimes instrumental trip hop. This background music, while not overly distracting to me, helps me focus and get in tune with my work I've found. It adds some comfort to what I'm doing as well, as I like to have something playing in the background while I work. Silence can be unnerving sometimes.

It might also be a good idea to take a break from what you're doing every so often and stretch your legs. Get a breath of fresh air and just clear your mind from whatever might be stressing you out.

Whenever I feel stressed up and worried, I always resort to sleeping. Sleeping is one habit that I use to refresh my mind when things ain't going the way I expect them to go. So, that is my way of relieving stress and worry.

I like your style of relieving yourself of stress. However, I don’t think I could do that because when I feel so stressed, I agree that I feel very tired but not sleepy. But when I try to sleep, my mind would be working on the past events like it is having a replay of the activities in the day. In other words, trying to sleep will only aggravate the situation so I have to do something else to relieve the stress in my body.

When alone take advantage. Deep belly breathing is a great, immediate way to calm the nervous system. Doing it often, over time can really change things. Meditation on top of that can help, again over time, can very much reduce the experience of elevated stress
