Is there a thing called Grey Hat SEO?

I have been hearing this lately. What is the meanung of greyhat SEO? How is it different to Blackhat?

You will notice that most of those involved in SEO work have the propensity to invent new words terms that can fill a dictionary. That white hat, black hat, and now it is grey hat and there was even a yellow hat that I had seen, well, they are all concoctions. But the grey hat is an activity that is between the black hat which is an SEO method that is not legal and the white hat which is the SEO method that we know.
