How can I become a successful blogger?

It's been years since I started out my own blog but it seems to be that I'm not succeeding on it. Can anyone help me?

With my experience in blogging, the first important element in blogging is the passion. Choose a niche that is your passion so you can have the enthusiasm of blogging all the way. Check with the popular blogs in your niche to get an idea of the design and the type of articles. You don’t copy but just the idea so you can improve on it. Don’t forget that promoting your blog is hard work so you have to set aside maybe an hour every day to spread the news of your new blog for the day.
