    Some free web hosts don't force ads, so how are they making money to stay in business?

    If the web host is not pushing their ads on you, then most likely they are making money when you upgrade to paid hosting.

    Free web hosting companies are able to earn money by implementing advertisement banners or sliders on their client's website, sell backlinks on the client's website or offer premium web hosting plans.

    They usually make money by putting ads on the members sites, other times, they will make it for they also have packages that will have more features. Then all of the new features will make them want to upgrade if they like the services they received with the free package.

    Usually by putting ads on their members sites but there are those hosts (ih4u.info and ihost4you.net) who just post ads on their forum and get so their money back How do free web hosts make money?

    Some web hosting 'companies' allows you to donate to them to remove google analytics, etc that web hosts add to the page..

    Web Hosting Companies makes a ton of money when a free site grows it then has to upgrade into a premium paid site then that's the time they make money off you. Also they post ads in your free site, so they also earn some money from that.
