What if you could buy a two or three letter domain?

If you had the opportunity to buy a two or three letter .com (or any TLD) domain, would you do it? What advantage would such a short domain have?

Imagine how brandable a me.com domain would be. Or, even a me.me domain for a meme site. Or, what about be.me? Lots of good possibilities for these short two and three letter domains. But it's impossible to get them or too expensive to buy.

I already have a couple of two letter brandable dot com, for example:
motherhoodinfo.com
fatherhoodinfo.com
100springs.com
I believe these domains have commercial value. I registered these domains with the idea to sale them when the tides are high.
If I can get one or two word domain, I will surely acquire it.
