    Does Blog Bookmarking work?

    Does it work to get links?
    What about duplicate content? so if I have a blog on my site, add it to LinkedIn and then to a bookmarking site, will my site get penalised?

    It still works if you do it right! Make some comments sensible that is related to the topic and bookmark other websites not just only your website.. :-)

    You are right with the sensible comments and better yet if the comment will be interesting to the readers of the blog so it should be directly related to the blog that you are commenting on. But whatever your comment is it can also boost your site’s ranking in the search engines if the blog is very popular with thousands of regular readers because the backlink of your site will be considered quality backlink.

    I don’t think having duplicate content is a good idea. Even if you have 2 websites that you own and both have the same content, even just 1 article, then that is tantamount to plagiarizing yourself. With bookmarking, it is an accepted SEO method that works but not that effective because it depends on the bookmarking sites that you use. Social bookmarking is now getting popular so you can try spreading your links in social media.
