Why do some videos get reported and others don't?

One of my videos was reported and removed for no reason. But other videos that are doing the same thing are still up on Youtube. What's going on?

It will just depend on who sees your video as to whether or not it gets reported. Some videos don't get many views and even if they are breaking TOS, they don't get reported for that reason.

Maybe you were reported by your competition because as you said similar videos that are doing the same are still on Youtube. So who else could have done this if not someone who owned those other videos? I would just report the other similar videos, then everyone would have to start over.

Report offensive videos or those which are in violation of copyright and they will be quickly removed from Youtube. That's your only real solution.

One of my videos was reported and removed for no reason. But other videos that are doing the same thing are still up on Youtube. What's going on?

That happened to a friend of mine. His video was reported and all his videos were deleted and the account banned. They were just game play videos, nothing really that special. But there are thousands of very similar game play videos where people take in game footage and post on Youtube. I have no idea who would have reported him but I've always wondered why the other similar videos were not taken down as well if his videos were so bad.

if your video violate YouTube’s policy against spam, scam and commercially deceptive content, then your video will got removed.
there is many reason the video got removed by youtube, such as copyright content, buying views,likes, etc from bad source, spam your videos to another youtube users to get more views. but sometimes the video got removed because another users uploaded the same video as you. they have real views and you purchase views to increase views count. in that case youtube will delete your video. or sometimes all that same videos will got deleted by youtube.

It really depends on the viewers, it's their discretion to report any video that they see as unfit or has poor taste.
