I would say so, I would have to ballpark and say I make 10-15 grand per year off of Twitter alone through various efforts which include selling tweets, etc.

You have to have real & responsive followers, then word spreads naturally about your services

Generally I use twitter for promoting my blogs/sites. Sometimes I post my affiliate links. Basically I maintain balance on sharing links and normal content.

@Griffin site that give link to other site and in return they also take link that consider as reciprocal linking come in black hat technique so that should be avoided and I use Twitter to share some interesting news even some good blogs too.
