How do I find friends on Pinterest?

My brother started using Pinterest first and then got my mom into using the site. Now that I'm using Pinterest, I want to tell everyone about it. How would I find out which ones of my friends are already using the site or locate others whom I could invite?

To find your friends on Pinterest, you can do the following:

Click your name at the top of Pinterest then click Find Friends

Follow the instructions to link your account to Facebook or Twitter

Click Follow to follow all of a friend's boards or go to their profile to find specific boards to follow

Maybe you could ask others on Facebook if they are on Pinterest too? You might mention how much you love Pinterest and get them excited about the site too. That is more easily done via personal communication such as Facebook private message. Or, just say you like it in a status update.
