Yes it effects, Use white and Black colour for design, Google love these two colours too much

I would say you have to avoid using black colours it is more about the viewers. From my knowladge black somehow scares the viewer.

In one discussion in this site, it was said that the website design is a big factor in SEO. First is the layout that should conform to standards. I cannot elaborate on that because I am not well versed yet. Next is the navigation. I really don’t know how a search engine could detect a broken link or maybe the navigation means easy navigation that you can easily go to a particular web page. And the design includes the fonts and color.
