SEO certification

SEO certification is one of those topics that come up repeatedly but few people seem to appreciate why they won't work. The simple fact is that no one is qualified to award such certification because no-one outside of the search engines themselves knows for sure what best practice is.

I think it is good if an organization will come up with a certification for SEO specialist. I remember when I attended an online course in HP (Hewlette packard computers). It was 2 months of study and every time I submit my exam answers I will be given a rating. At the end of the course there was the final rating that I passed. With an SEO certification to be given by HP or maybe Microsoft or even Apple then it would be great for aspiring SEO specialists.
