The best thing you can do for on page optimization is to produce content rich pages which are full of useful information that serves the reader's purpose. There are other ways to tweak the pages, for on page SEO, but that's a good start.

I am not an authority and my opinion is based on the discussions that I had read in this site. On-page optimization is mainly the contents of the web pages particularly the articles and the design. Uploading new contents regularly to your site will give your site the impression that it is active hence it will be easily recognized by search engines. When you upload the content, tag it with appropriate and meaningful keywords to further enhance the site’s influence on search engines.
