Best way to optimize a keyword in November 2014

Is there any changes in Google algorithm in November 2014?

I was trying to rank a keyword with my old method but not able to rank a particular keyword in this month November 2014

Is there any changes in Google algorithm and if so then what is the recent tricks to rank keywords.

I guess you have to consult an SEO specialist for your case because you are in deep analysis of keywords. But if I were you, I would continue doing SEO work and not concentrate on the keywords that will take away too much of my time. Building backlinks is also a way of getting traffic both ways just like keywords. When you post a comment on a very popular blog, you get the benefit of the search engine traffic and likewise the chance of your signature being seen by the readers of that popular blog.
