    Facebook gets more visitors than linkedin and thus in my opinion its facebook which will help you get more visitors to your site just follow the steps localnumberone has put out there and you may get good number of visitors visiting your site, also create LinkedIn profile and connect to various big profiles from your niche like and share the good content on their profiles put your content on the same.

    I can only speak for Facebook because I have an active account there. Some of my friends are promoting their blogs on their timeline that sometimes I check on the links. It is one good way of getting traffic. And although it is easier said than done, if you have the creativity to make interesting posts about your website, I’m sure your friends and followers in Facebook will react favorably to your promotional posts.
