    I will say guest blogging is good link building technique to increase keyword ranking in Google, but you can use other link building methods too, make sure that you are building relevant and natural links for better result.

    Post relevant link bait including tutorials, infographics and resource lists and ask others to link back to your page. This will generate many new backlinks from others who want to provide a useful service to their own readers without going through the trouble of publishing.

    You can make blog comments with moderation, inner page links and guess posting! These methods still work if you don't overuse them! Some blogs will offer you a do follow link with your comments!

    From my point of view, Best link building technique in current scenario would be article posting, PR submissions, creating your own blog, Yahoo Q/A, forum postings and do some limited dofollow quality directory submissions.

    Ok this is what I think. Publishing articles to site is the best way. So publish the article, then post it to a couple of your blogs while always linking back to the original content with one of your keywords. Doesn't matter which publishing site you choose. Once you've posted to all of your blogs then post it to your websites blog and if you don't have it, get the Yoast SEO plug in for Wordpress. Fill in the description and title properly and you should be on your way.

    I think any kind of link building is good for the SEO ranking of the website. A link that is scattered in the internet has a chance of getting new traffic. One of the best suggestion that I had read is the posting of comments on a popular blog. The signature that you leave with the comment is the key for new traffic since readers of the blog may react to that comment, i.e. if it is interesting to them.
