    Google finally removed PageRank

    So even though it was last updated in 2013, Google has decided to completely kill the PageRank.
    All tools capable of showing this rank will stop working in about two weeks as this update unfolds.

    So there you have it, say good bye folks!

    They stopped updating PR a long time ago, as you pointed out, but the only difference now is that it won't show even the previous rankings from years ago.

    Good riddance, I say. Now maybe newbies will stop asking dumb questions about PR and get on to the more important business of SEO.

    I think they have stop updating PR since 2years or around that, I was awaiting to see such for one of my web for long time.

    However regarding the shutting down, there is no value on that, coz if you have adequate search ranking thats it.

    Yes it has removed the page rank from toolbar so I guess now the authenticity of a website will be measured through page and domain authority.

    All arguments based to the PR are invalid! I am surprised that so many providers mention the PR in their services. The public PR no longer exists. Google has the delivery of data completely terminated. Who does not know, has no idea of the business.

    Maybe the page rank of Google was not working anymore that’s why I came across several discussions that are asking about why a website is tops in the search list when it has zero ranking in Google’s page rank. Or perhaps it is part of Google’s strategy so people cannot guess what happens next to its algorithm. That the Google’s page rank is being used as basis for the SEO is not good for Google. So it is like a game between SEO specialists and Google algorithm.
