    Google is always self serving when it comes to promotion of their own sites. I don't use half the services they mention, except for Gmail. Even then, I won't use it in relation to any school related activities.

    Google calendar might be a good thing for students as it can help them organize study schedules better. And, Google Gmail would be a good way for teachers to mass mail out assignment reminders to students or to communicate with a student after school hours for help with an assignment.
