    Maybe they don't hate Google so much as dislike the bad things that Google has done. For instance, it's been proven how a Google engineer spied on people's Gmail accounts and collected personal information from them. That's an invasion of privacy. That kind of bad publicity can make the public hate a company, even Google.

    Also Google sent their Google maps bot vehicle up someone's private driveway/road to film it so it could appear on Google maps. Though there was a clearly posted, 'keep out -- private property' sign. I think they got sued over the incident.

    There's a small difference between hate and frustration.I think a lot are just frustrated.Nobody can completely hate google.Atleast reCAPTCHA ,its on everywhere.Its owned by google.

    I hate it because I feel google is partial towards giant forums or sites. In other words it gives more importance to sites which has there ads running through adwords Why do some people hate Google?. I've observed it many times.

    They should have gotten sued. This is not right and unacceptable in my opinion.



    Maybe the government will bring criminal trespass charges; even Google is not immune from the law that forbids invading private property.

    It is really too competitive if you want to optimize your website for Google search engine. This may be one reason too.


    If your site is ranking in the top spot on page one for your keyword, then you will most likely love Google. If you get penalized by Google, you will hate them. I'm sure that is true for all webmasters/bloggers.

    I'm sure the webmasters being banned know full well why they are being banned. Google doesn't just randomly ban websites, there is always a reason and usually you are sent some kind of notice in Google Webmaster Tools.

    I am wondering why I have come across several discussions with such a title. Why do some people hate Google? My question here is that why are there many users here who prefer Bing? Oh well, it’s a matter of favoritism just like in politics. But for me, I have nothing personal with the search engines as long as they provide me with my needs in searching. Perhaps I am most neutral although sometimes I also have a favorite.

    I don't hate Google because right now it's still has a lot of uses but I do think that they should try to do things better and they should stop finding ways to screw people up by charging them for everything.
