What if another site outranked Google for their own name/keyword?

It would be very ironic if you searched on Google for the term 'search engine' or 'Google' and found that another site outranked even Google. Do you think this is possible, considering Google owns the search engine?

I don't think google will allow any site to outrank itself for the keyword google, as they own search engine and it is backlinked by almost every site on earth ! Another thing, which you might want to think is that, how can somebody reach popularity of google by using 'google' keyword without pointing it to google ? :|

Google.com shows as the number one result when searching on Firefox with no personal results. But if I allow personal results to be shown, then it comes up with adwords.google.com as the first result. Turning off personal results makes a difference.

But your personal results doesn't change anything for other users, right ? So, I would say personal results also doesn't matter for internet users

I don't think most people turn off the personalized search results though or even realized they are being served up a biased version of search results.

I think the personalized results are different for each user, so it's like Google is personalizing or changing the search results to tailor just for you based on sites you have visited previously. They keep track of all sites you have visited. And, unless you delete those sites, Google will use the results to serve up results that may more accurately reflect what you personally want to see in the search engines.
