To go private and surf anonymously on Google Chrome, you'll want to click on the wrench icon in your toolbar (usually upper right hand corner of browser screen). Then select 'New Incognito Window'.
You'll be presented with a new window where you can surf anonymously without private data being collected. When you go incognito pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close all open incognito windows. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.
When you go incognito your extensions are disabled, so you may lose some browser functionality.
I often wonder if this really does keep it private though. Best idea is to use a different browser entirely, with private mode.

Same here. Another question, if the browser isn't storing cookies, how do you get to sites that needed cookies?

Maybe if you are accessing financial sites like your bank or Paypal. Or, you wish for your searches to remain anonymous on a shared computer. You might say that you can just clear your cookies, but really there might be times when you leave your computer unattended or forget to clear cookies/history and someone else gets on the computer and can see in history which site's you've visited. In some scenarios that could be devastating to them or you.

I don't think so that their is any method of hiding your information in Google Chrome. If this is then please someone share this with us.

But this feature doesn't save cookies, right? Tried this one time and can't log-in on a site as it gives me errors that I need to allow cookies on my browser... Or maybe I'm doing it wrong. Can you teach me the right way?
