Need a business card holder

I am an assistant. I have a question look forward to sharing everyone
My boss has more than 1,000 business cards; he wanted me to find a smart way to keep them forever. Is there any method smart alternative to a thick book?
Can you share something for me?

Why you don't think about using apps to store them?
My boss use CardFila.com. He uses smart phone and laptop to capture up to 20 cards a minute. Capture a large number of business cards anywhere on the go!
